After the recent announcement that 100 Thieves were exiting the CSGO esports scene, a lot of fans were wondering what the next steps for the brand were.
With teams in games such as League of Legends, Fortnite and Valorant, 100T has established one of the most recognisable brands in esports.
It only makes sense that their next venture would be Call of Duty and the 2021 CDL.
100T declined the opportunity to invest for a spot in the CDL's opening 2020 Season.
A recent report from Dexerto suggests the brand has reconsidered and is opting to make the move into the Call of Duty esports scene.
100 Thieves Set To Enter CDL As LA Thieves And Replace OpTic
The report from Dexerto states that sources have revealed OpTic Gaming LA's spot has been transferred to 100 Thieves.
On top of this, it's reported that 100 Thieves CDL team will rebrand to LA Thieves.
This isn't the first time we have seen 100T in Call of Duty esports.
The organisation picked up two trophies in the CoD World League.
It was only when franchising was introduced that the organisation opted to leave Call of Duty behind.
It's definitely exciting to see them back and ready to compete.
We'll have to see how they perform in the League and what roster the organisation will pick to compete.
