After weeks of speculation, Season 17 of Destiny 2 will begin tomorrow. Here are the Destiny 2 Season 17 start times:

As players continue to drop into Season 16 of Destiny 2, attention is slowly turning towards the launch of Destiny 2 Season 17. The next season of post-launch content has plenty to live up to following the incredible success of the Witch Queen expansion.

Season 17 is likely acting as a building block, laying the foundations for Lightfall, the next major expansion arriving in the game at some point during 2023. While players wait for the upcoming expansion, there's still plenty to look forward to.

Destiny 2 Season 17 Release Date Countdown

Destiny 2 Season 17 Start Date

With Season 16 coming to an end on May 24, Season 17 will begin with the weekly reset. If you've not finished working your way through the Season Pass, there's still plenty of time to obtain the Grand Overture.

Destiny 2 Season 17 Dungeon

Season 17 will include the launch of a brand-new Dungeon with plenty of rewards to obtain. Players will need a power of 1550 to enter the Dungeon on Normal difficulty. Here are the rewards:

  • 1 Exotic Weapon
  • 1 Exotic Catalyst
  • 1 Legendary Armor Set Per Class
  • 4 Legendary New Weapons
  • 2 Legendary Reprised Weapons
  • 1 Exotic Accessory

Destiny 2 Season 17 Crucible Maps

For the first time in a long time, Season 17 will include the arrival of a brand-new Crucible map much to the excitement of PvP fans. Known as Disjunction, the map is set within Savathun's Throne World.

There's a high chance the map will play a huge role in the Iron Banner rework also arriving in Season 17.

Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Changes

While Bungie focused on Gambit over the course of Season 16, Season 17 will see a Trials of Osiris rework. In a blog post prior to the Witch Queen launch, the developer shares information on some planned changes:

  • Continuation of Capture and Freelance weekends.
  • Seven maps in rotation.
  • Reward changes.

Destiny 2 Season 17 Weapons

Although Season 17 is still a while away, we know plenty of information on some of the weapons making their way into the game. Here's a full weapons list:

  • Chain of Command - Season 17 Ritual Weapon
  • Riptide Fusion Rifle
  • Dead Weight Shotgun
  • Strident Whistle Bow

According to notable leaker "DestinyTwoLeaks," the Season 17 update will contain the launch of Solar 3.0, a total overhaul of the class featuring healing and burning effects to gain the upper hand.

Following the conclusion of the Witch Queen campaign, Season 17 will maintain focus on attacking the Lucent Hive even with Savathun defeated. One theory implies Rasputin could return after disappearing during the Warmind expansion.

How Much Is Destiny 2 Season 17?

Just like Season 16, Season 17 will continue using the Season Pass model. This means you can buy into the content for approximately £10 for each season. If you purchased the Witch Queen Deluxe Edition, you will have access to Season 17, 18, and 19.
