How Do I Get F1 22 Early Access?
If you want to play F1 22 prior to its July 1 release date, you've got a couple of options.
- Buy the Champions Edition
- Play via EA Play
First and foremost, those who purchase the Champions Edition of the game automatically get three days of early access. Therefore, you'll be able to kick off your racing career on June 28 instead. Of course, that comes at an increased price, costing around £80 for the next-gen versions as opposed to £60 for the standard version.
If the thought of spending extra money for just a few days of early access doesn't appeal to you, then EA Play subscribers will be glad to learn there's another option. If you happen to subscribe to EA Play, you can get a ten-hour timed trial of the Champions Edition when it releases on June 28. Of course, that isn't the equivalent to having the entire game at your dispoal, but it's a reliable way to get some laps in while you wait for your pre-order to arrive, for example.
At the moment, those are your only two options when it comes to early access in F1 22. If you choose to get the Champions Edition you can play to your heart's content in those three days of early access, while EA Play Pro subscribers can play ten hours at a slightly lower cost.
Each option has its own benefits, so it'll be totally up to you which to choose. The Champions Edition also comes with other perks, such as 18,000 free PitCoin, some exclusive My Team icons, and dual entitlement if you upgrade to a next-gen console.
That's your lot when it comes to the various early access options for F1 22. No matter which one you choose, there's not long to wait until the game arrives! While you're here, feel free to also check out whether the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass any time soon.
