There's little doubt about the hype surrounding Elden Ring. After breaking their two year silence during Summer Games Fest, Bandai Namco's slowly been building hype towards FromSoftware's latest soulslike, and they're sounding pretty confident about it.
Speaking in a recent Question & Answer session with investors (spotted by Twisted Voxel), Bandai Namco revealed their sales expectations for Elden Ring, stating:
As for future major titles, we plan to release “ELDEN RING” in February 2022. The game has received high praise from the game industry and game fans, winning numerous awards at European game events even before its release, and is expected to sell 4 million units by the end of this fiscal year.

Initially targeting a January release, Bandai Namco confirmed last month that Elden Ring had been delayed, now launching on February 25th, 2022. With the current fiscal year ending on March 31st, 2022, that gives them just over a month to hit that target.
We recently went hands-on with Elden Ring's closed network test, and although it "sometimes fell slightly short of expectations," we had a mostly positive experience. Stating that "FromSoftware's using the open world setting in clever and fascinating ways," that's coming to PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
