To cap off the week, Valve has released a new patch for CS2, along with the notes listing all the changes. The update is small, only tackling a few gameplay bugs that players may have noticed and making one map change.

This has been a busy week for developers and players, as this is the fourth patch that was released during the past week and the third one after the significant July 28th update that started the process of updating the animation system to AnimGraph2, replacing all first-person animations, and implementing changes to several maps.

As expected, some animations or models have presented minor errors that the developers have been fixing throughout the week. This patch also does that, fixing incorrect particles, viewmodel lag, and even a bug that allowed players to inspect a grenade after priming it.

On top of that, the map Jura, designed for modes like Deathmatch or Arms Race, has been updated to reflect the latest version available on the community Workshop. Here are the complete notes that were posted on the game's official website so you can read all the details:

Gameplay

  • Fixed a bug that would allow you to inspect a grenade after priming.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent firstperson viewmodel lag.
  • Molotov again uses the correct fire particle.
  • Incendiary and smoke grenades now play the correct sounds.
  • Adjusted firstperson molotov audio and particle event timing.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause bhopping penalty to continue to accumulate even when jump had not been pressed.
  • Bhopping jump spam clock now starts at the instant the input is registered, rather than then end of the subtick where that command was processed.
