Trying to figure out the YuGiOh Master Duel account save transfer (or "cross-save") system? It's a fickle, complicated thing that you can easily mess up if you're not careful. Worse yet, once you make that error, it's difficult to fix, which can almost write off an entire platform from your future YuGiOh Master Duel device list.
The option to transfer accounts and set up cross-save between all your available platforms has little explanation when you first get started. Luckily, the actual process is straightforward and only takes a few minutes - so long as you haven’t begun a save file on your second platform, that is. In which case, you'll have to make a difficult decision.

How Do I Use Cross-Save? - YuGiOh Master Duel Account Save Transfer Explained
When you start YuGiOh Master Duel for the first time, you’re greeted by a message about data, which you can safely ignore. Assuming this is the first time you’ve started the game, there’s no data to transfer. Once you’ve completed the tutorials – which you can skip and still gain the free gem rewards – here’s what to do.
- On the splash screen, open the “Options” menu
- Navigate to “Data Transfer” (it’s under the Customer Support option)
- Log in to your Konami account
Now boot the game on the next platform you plan to play on. If you want to use the same account on it, you'll need to pay close attention to activate cross-save and initiate the YuGiOh Master Duel account save transfer procedure
Start the game and let it load onto the splash screen. Rather than press any button to go into the main menu, press the corresponding button listed in the bottom-right of the screen to open the Data Transfer menu. Log into the same Konami account you used to link your YuGiOh Master Duel account on your first platform, and you're all set. It's that easy.
What Carries Over in YuGiOh Master Duel Account Save Transfer?
The YuGiOh Master Duel account save transfer carries over everything except for any gems purchased on another system - which will still be there when you log back into that specific plaform. Your friends, decks, card collections, and any progress (PVE or PVP) will appear on your next device as if by some fancy Egyptian card-game magic.
The only limitation is that you can only be logged into your account on one platform at a time, so bear that in mind. Which makes sense.
When Does YuGiOh Master Duel Launch on Mobile?
YuGiOh Master Duel Mobile is available right now. It launched worldwide on February 3, 2022 after being region-specific for around a week.
Though announced as a platform during the game's initial reveal, a YuGiOh Master Duel mobile release on iOS and Android didn't show up alongside the console version of the game until a few days after its surprise release in late January.
Now, though, it's properly available on virtually any device around the world, with the YuGiOh Master Duel account save transfer method remaining the same as it is for any other platform.
