As one of the most unique Dream Realm bosses in the game, the AFK Journey Skyclops boss is a tricky beast to beat. Nevertheless, if you’re looking to find out how to beat Skyclops in AFK Journey, we’ve got you covered.
The AFK Journey Skyclops boss is a cute version of a biblically accurate angel. With huge wings, giant creepy hands and a single huge eyeball, it’s far from the “nightmare” it’s described as, but would likely freak you out in real life.
Nevertheless, if you want to know the best team composition to beat Skyclops, follow our handy guide below.
AFK Journey Skyclops
Skyclops is an end-game boss in AFK Journey. If you’re taking on the boss, it’s paramount that you have a large number of different characters to play with that are all upgraded. While you can use any AFK Journey tier list hero that is ranked S or A, you should follow a strong team composition to beat the boss.
In lore, Skyclops embodies the power of light and darkness to summon creatures to attack you in battle. This fuels the character’s in-game skills and attacks (see below) and distracts you from dealing direct damage.
All Skyclops skills and attacks
The AFK Journey Skyclops boss has a large number of attacks that deal both physical and magical damage at the same time. Here’s a basic overview of their abilities:
- Attack with a sweeping laser beam that deals damage to the party
- Fight with physical and magical damage at the same time
- Summon both Wings of Light and Wings of Darkness to assist
- Deal additional damage while Wings of Light and Wings of Darkness are active
Here is a more detailed breakdown of every Skyclops skill:
Skyclops Ultimate Attack:
Before using their Ultimate, Skyclops will briefly charge up before unleashing a 10-tile sweeping laser attack to your party. Any party member grazed by the laser will receive 260% damage.
Skyclops Summon:
The AFK Journey Skyclops summon is split into two separate skills. One summons 4 Wings of Light whereas the other summons 4 Wings of Darkness. When these are summoned, Skyclops takes less physical damage with the former active and less magical damage from the latter. The amount of damage reduced changes per level as follows:
- Level 1 - damage reduced by 40%
- Level 2 - damage reduced by 50%
- Level 3 - damage reduced by 60%
- Level 4 - damage reduced by 70%
- Level 5 - damage reduced by 80%
- Level 6 - damage reduced by 90%
Skyclops multi-attack:
The final Skyclops skill in AFK journey is the boss’ equal attack of both physical and magic damage to your party. This attack is boosted whenever Wings of Light or Wings of Darkness are present in the field.
- Physical damage increases by 15% when Wings of Light are active on the battlefield
- Magical damage increases by 15% when Wings of Darkness are active on the field
Best Skyclops Team Composition in AFK Journey
For beating Skyclops in AFK Journey, there are a few characters that are strongly recommended to take on the endgame boss. These characters include Smokey, Marilee, Korin and Kruger. While you can mix and match some other characters in there (such as almonds Scarlita), these four characters are highly recommended for this boss.
However, it’s not only important which characters you have in your party, but also their placement. Of course, the level of your party is also important, but we doubt you’ll attempt to fight Skyclops with characters under level 70. In fact, you’ll want to have every team member close to level 75 to beat this boss.
