October will be a massive month for gaming as one of the industry's titans will release a new entry in their long-running series, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will see the light of day.
Following Microsoft's tumultuous but historic acquisition of Activision, all eyes are on Black Ops 6 to start reverting Xbox's fortune as of late.
So, if you want to check out Black Ops 6, here's everything you need to know about Call of Duty's next entry.
Black Ops 6 Release Date and Platforms
COD Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25 for the following platforms:
- PC
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series
As you can see, the developers are still supporting last-gen consoles, which means that the potential player base could be massive.
Is It Coming to Game Pass?
After much speculation, it was confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available via Xbox Game Pass on launch day. It will also be available with the PC, Console, and Ultimate subscriptions, so no one will be left behind.
Black Ops 6 Pre-Order Bonuses
If you're looking to pre-order Black Ops 6, there are plenty of benefits you can take advantage of by pre-ordering the digital edition, including:
- Woods Operator Pack: Three Woods Operator skins to use in Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and COD Warzone Mobile
- Reflect 115 Camo Pack: Includes the Reflect 115 Camo to use in Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and COD Warzone Mobile (not available in Black Ops 6). You'll also get three Legendary Aether Tools, three Flawless Aetherium Crystals, and three Ray Gun Weapon Cases for use in Modern Warfare Zombies.
If you're a Game Pass subscriber, you can also obtain these perks, but you need to log in to either Modern Warfare III or Warzone on the platform where you have an active subscription before October 25.
Black Ops 6 Editions and Cost
This time around, Activision has kept things simple. The base physical and digital editions function the same, although the pre-order bonuses are only available for the latter. Both cost $69 or the equivalent, depending on your region.
Both come with Cross-Gen functions, so if you're still playing on your Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you'll be entitled to a free upgrade to the current-gen versions of Black Ops 6.
Vault Edition
The Vault edition costs $100 and will offer extra perks for players who want to fork out the cash, including:
Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack:
- Adler: Umbra Skin (Rogue Black Ops)
- Park: Oblivion Skin (Rogue Black Ops)
- Brutus: Warden of Alcatraz Skin (Zombies)
- Klaus: Reborn Skin (Zombies)
These skins will be available on Black Ops 6, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile at launch.
Mastercraft Weapon Collection
This collection includes animated variants for weapons players can use in Black Ops 6, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile.
- Jackal PDW (SMG): Scourge
- LR 7.62 (Sniper Rifle): Brainstorm
- Marine SP (Shotgun): Unrepentant
- AMES 85 (Assault Rifle): Plague Doctor

Finally, the last two perks include:
- BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle: Access to Black Ops 6 season 1 battle pass, 1,100 COD Points and 20 tier skips

Note that this upgrade will also be available for Game Pass users, but the price has not yet been revealed.
