While recent changes to Twitch’s gambling rules proved popular with many streamers, the current revenue split offered by the platform is still a concern for many creators.

For some streamers like Ninja, this has led to the adoption of streaming across multiple platforms whenever possible, allowing for some cross-platform collaborations that previously seemed unlikely.

However, others have gone about addressing the issue by pursuing alternative revenue streams, such as OnlyFans, though this approach looks to have caused Amouranth some issues recently.

Amouranth’s OnlyFans earnings might have briefly been in peril

As reported by Dexerto, the streamer took to her personal Twitter account to reveal that a hacker had apparently attempted to access some earnings yet to be withdrawn from her OnlyFans account, with a notice requiring the account’s banking details to be updated apparently being what tipped Amouranth off that something was awry.

In response to a reply to her post, the streamer explained that the $900k left in the account was only there because of restrictions regarding the frequency of money withdrawals, saying: “I have a special withdrawal thing I do with them each quarter.”

Thankfully, it seems that the security concerns regarding the account were resolved relatively quickly, with Amouranth saying in response to a user asking if she’d lost the money: “(I) caught it quick enough and spammed the retrieval, so the account locked, etc! They went to change outbound bank account though, but were thwarted.”

She later posted another tweet about the incident, seemingly suggesting that there might be more information on it that will be revealed at a later date, saying: “Social engineering did this, but not on the USER/CREATOR END. That’s all I can say for now…”
