Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a pretty relaxing game, which is kind of odd when you consider how you’re literally paying the mortgage and building a city for other citizens to live in but trust us, the game is one of the most relaxing things you’ll have on your Nintendo Switch, as collecting materials and interacting with villagers is easy like Sunday morning.
While the game is mostly a walk in the park (or museum), Animal Crossing: New Horizons does have a bug problem, and we don’t mean the game development kind but those darn wasps that can ruin your day when you’re just trying to collect some items, catch some fish, or even craft some materials, these things will annoy you a lot but there is a temporary way to stop the stings.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - How To Avoid Wasps With A Camera Trick
Fans on Reddit have discovered that the Photo Mode in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be used to prevent stings from wasps as they chase you, which is fairly surprising.
As the Reddit clip shows, the wasp stings don’t affect the player at all and are a fun way to do something about those annoying bugs.
Sadly, once you get out of Photo Mode, the wasps will immediately sting you so it’s best to avoid these things.
It’s a shame that the Photo Mode trick in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is just a temporary fix but you can always cure the wasp stings in-game, even if it takes time away from the usual gameplay.
Maybe a future update will add more ways to prevent your avatar from getting stung but we can only hope.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on the Nintendo Switch.
