New Storage Limit
A player's maximum storage capacity can be increased to up to 5000 items. Ever since the game's launch in 2020, players have always been asking for more room for their valuables. Nintendo have given players what they want in previous updates, and in Version 2.0, players will be given even more space.
How To Increase Your Storage Limit
As a forewarning, players will need to have their houses fully upgraded before they can proceed with expanding the storage of their home! Increasing the Maximum Storage Capacity of a home is very easy once the home is fully upgraded. As with all expansions and upgrades that a player requests in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they will have to talk to Tom Nook.
Visit the Construction Desk in the Town Hall to speak to the beloved raccoon, and then request to speak about your home. Following this, you can select 'Expand my storage' to then increase how many items your home can store. Storage increases go up by 800 items each time, apart from when you increase your storage from 4000 to 5000 items. As you would expect, however, each increase in storage will cost you a sum of Bells! Animal Crossing hoarders can have an absolute field trip with this.
That's everything you need to know about increasing the storage limit of your home in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. To figure out what exactly to fill all of that storage with, why not check out how to get medicine, or how to stock up on the valuable geodes that are gold nuggets?
