What is the Danish Release Date for Animal Crossing: New Horizon?
In 2018, Nintendo mentioned a new Animal Crossing title was in development exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
It was originally slated for release this year however Doug Bowser, now President of Nintendo North America, explained they’ve had to push the release date back until March 2020 so employees could maintain a healthy work-life balance and avoid the dreaded ‘crunch’.
The specific date was confirmed by a short 30-second trailer released to welcome the new year. Players can expect their ticket to the deserted island of their dreams on March 20th!
What is Animal Crossing: New Horizon all about?
The premise of Animal Crossing: New Horizon is rather simple. Tom Nook is back at it again with another business venture and this time it’s The Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package.
Player characters will find themselves as one of the early inhabitants of a deserted island, a step away from players arriving at an already established settlement, and must use the local materials to create, build and construct furniture, tools and settlements by utilising the new crafting system.
New features in New Horizons also include the ability to create your character with far more customisation options than ever before, especially when it comes to a larger selection of skin tone, hairstyles and clothing.
This is a big step up from Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS which addressed the complaints about previous versions lack of skin tone options by allowing you to change the skin tone for the first time.
