May Day is yet another limited-time event in Animal Crossing New Horizons for you to take part in. The event itself lets you take a trip away, challenge yourself with a maze, and be reunited with fan-favourite character, Rover. During this, you can obviously also get your hands on some rewards!
All information in the following guide is based off of 2020 and 2021's May Day events, but here's what you can expect for the years to come, too.

When Is May Day?
The May Day event in Animal Crossing New Horizons ran from April 29 - May 7 during 2021. With the event running for a week, players have some time to choose when they will take their trip and commence on the May Day Tour. The event is also not time-locked, and can be time travelled to.
What Is May Day?
The May Day event will be announced during Isabelle's morning announcement the first time you log in during the week of the event. To participate in any festivities, you will need to speak to Orville at the airport to acquire your May Day Ticket and then go on your May Day Tour.
Choose 'I wanna fly!' and then 'Use May Day Ticket' to go on the tour. After flying, you will be taken to a unique island that has a maze for you to venture around. If you successfully navigate the maze, you'll be greeted by Rover at the end and awarded a prize for doing so.
May Day Prizes
There are three different rewards available whenever you complete the May Day maze and meet with Rover. They are as follows:
- Rover's Briefcase - The first prize Rover will mail to you.
- Rover's Photo - For those who already got Rover's Briefcase back in 2020, you will be rewarded this prize instead.
- Bell Vouchers - This is a different type of prize that can be found littered around the island that the maze is on. Each Voucher sells for 3000 Bells, so be sure to gather all nine of them for some easy money.
That's all there is to know about May Day, the Tour, and being reunited with Rover for some fun rewards in Animal Crossing New Horizons. In the meantime, don't forget to also check out Nature Day and International Museum Day, for some more unique events to take part in during late Spring.
