Elden Ring hype is at an all-time high thanks to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC coming out this week, with a major patch releasing to coincide with it. Amongst other fixes and improvements, the latest update finally fixes one of this RPG’s cheapest boss fights, making plenty of fans happy.

Ziostorm shared a small part of the game’s patch notes, revealing that players can now summon their steed Torrent during the Elden Beast battle. This is a big deal to players, as many always felt that Torrent would make that battle a lot easier.

For those unaware, the Elden Beast battle in Elden Ring is pretty unfair, as the boss is fairly far and unleashes plenty of long-range spells. Due to how far and difficult this fight is, many fans wondered why they couldn’t summon their awesome goat Torrent for the battle. Thankfully, the devs have heard your pleas and Torrent can now be used in this annoying fight.

Admittedly, the fight against this Elden Beast is doable without Torrent, as seen by some of the Platinum Trophies earned by fans. Still, it’s not an easy fight by any measure and this should make new playthroughs more fun, especially in something empowering like New Game Plus.

Elden Ring fans are getting ready for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as fans are expecting it to be incredibly difficult and immeasurably satisfying. FromSoftware Games often have very good DLC expansions, with every Dark Souls game getting amazing post-game content that expands on the battles and settings.

While this fight against the Elden Beast is difficult, it might not be the fight most fans are struggling with. Based on the game’s trophies and achievements, many players are struggling with the fight against Mogh. Unfortunately, anyone who wants to play the DLC will need to beat Mogh to do so.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is coming out later this week, on June 21.
