What Are Heirlooms And Heirloom Shards?
Heirloom Shards are a form of currency that can only be used to unlock Heirloom sets.
Heirlooms are probably the rarest cosmetic items you can get in Apex Legends.
They include melee weapons, each designed to represent the legend using them.
All have special animations that can be seen when idle or inspecting.
The sets also include a Banner Pose and an Intro Quip.
How To Get Heirloom Shards
Heirlooms Shards can be found through Apex Packs.
Technically you can buy shards, and by that we mean you can but the packs that may contain them.
Meaning it can be a bit of a gamble when buying packs with the sole purpose of getting Heirloom Shards.
You have a 1 in 500 chance of getting them.
So, if you're on your 499th Apex Pack, the next will contain Heirloom Shards!
You can then use the shards to unlock whichever legend's Heirloom set you want!
