Apex Legends: Season 4 is almost underway. In less than a week, we'll be dominating matches with all new content. Unfortunately, it looks like the Fighting Federation Champion, Forge, may not make it after all.
Introduced last week in Respawn's devstream as a former MMA fighter, Jimmie "Forge" McCormick was the first Legend with corporate sponsorship from Titanfall creators Hammond Robotics.
What Happened With Forge And Revenant?
The devstream announcement came as a bit of a surprise to most players as Revenant was the name on everyone's mind.
In the newly released video called "Stories From the Outland: Up Close and Personal" Forge is being rather obnoxious in an interview. He's asked a few questions in regards to him becoming an Apex Legend, and is even referred to as 'The People Champion'.
When lights begin to flicker and the interviewer apologises for technical difficulties, it isn't until the camera pans back to Forge that we see who's come to play.
Revenant is seen towering over Forge and has seemingly come to answer our prayers in the form of a big, pointy arm-blade. The camera pans back to the interviewer, screaming and covered in Forges blood.
We knew we would be getting an announcement on Revenant sooner or later, but not such a gory one.
Respawn hasn't officially confirmed that Revenant will be in Season 4. However, Forge is permanently dead.
The official Apex Legends season 4 page, shows his character photo is greyed out with the words "never defeated (except for that one time)" written under it. In the days leading up to season 4, World's Edge has been changing with the addition of the set from the 'Stories from the Outlands' video.
The set is now gone, however, and in the place where Forge was sitting is now a death box. Loot the death box for a special eulogy for The People's Champion.
