Who is Apex Legends Revenant?

Revenant, once a human, was once revered as the most skilled assassin under the employ of the Mercenary Syndicate. Gazing into the mirror, he would have once seen a human reflection staring back at him. However, as time progressed, his existence underwent a drastic transformation.

When his programming ultimately malfunctioned, he was confronted with the monstrous creation that the Syndicate and Hammond Robotics had moulded him into a grotesque fusion of steel and remnants of his former flesh. Repeatedly resurrected as a simulacrum by his masters, he was subjected to memory wipes, erasing the trauma of his past.

Driven by an unrelenting desire for retribution, he embarked on a relentless pursuit to eliminate every individual responsible for his current state. Yet, ironically, what he yearned for most—release from his torment through death—eluded him, as destroying his preserved human head was the only means to achieve this. His path took a fateful turn when Loba, a thief seeking vengeance for her parents' murder at Revenant's hands, opted to spare him to ensure he continued to suffer.

Revenant's world was further upended when he awoke to find his abilities stripped from him and replaced by unfamiliar powers. Determined to uncover the identity and motives of those behind this latest manipulation, he resolved to unearth the truth at any cost. His relentless pursuit of answers drives him, pushing him to confront the mysteries of his existence and those who seek to control it.

These abilities complement his playstyle, making him a formidable and strategic choice in the arena.

Assassin's Instinct

Apex Legends Revenant tips

Revenant's tactical ability, Shadow Pounce, is best used for travelling longer distances for repositioning rather than gaining height. You can travel further by holding the tactical for longer, with a fully charged tactical indicated by Revenant's hands smoking red and the camera slightly zooming in after roughly 3 seconds.

Aiming slightly upward or looking straight-forward is more effective, as aiming higher tightens the tactical's natural curve, resulting in less distance travelled. The tactical's cooldown depends on how long it's charged, not on the distance travelled.

Regarding Revenant's ultimate ability, Forged Shadows, it provides an extra shield that increases your hitbox, allowing you to absorb more damage. However, the 75 extra shields may feel minimal. It's suggested to use the ultimate as a security blanket rather than rushing in with it. If your forged shadow shield is damaged but not fully broken, it will not recharge until it's fully destroyed or if you get a knock.
