Apex Legends Season 4 Reddit: Fans Suggests That A Teaser Is On Its Way This Week!

Apex Legends Season 4 will release soon, and gamers on PS4, PC and Xbox One are starting to learn more about what might come with the Legends update.

The Apex Legends Season 4 release date has been set for the week of Tuesday, February 4, 2020, so there is still time for new teasers to be revealed by Respawn Entertainment.

Lights have been spotted in the skies over Capitol City by players this week, and they would love to know what this means for the next season.

Season 4 Teaser

It appears that Respawn is ready to start revealing little glimmers of what Season 4 Apex Legends will bring.

Lights have been spotted in the skies over Capitol City and on closer inspection appears to be some kind of ship.

Fans who spotted the lights over Capitol City seem to think that it has something to do with a new theme, while others think it is some kind of space ship.

However, it could mean something else entirely - the object could slam into the ground and make changes to World’s Edge, or the object could be carrying some previous cargo, like a new Legends character.

The teaser could imply any of these things, but we cover this further down.

What we do know is that extended energy mags were removed from the game last week, with the official Apex Legends patch notes explaining:

"We know that the removal of energy mags seems a bit odd, but it will make much more sense with the release of Season 4!”

Find out below why the removal of extended energy mags is actually a pretty significant move.

New Gun

A host of new hints have recently surfaced, suggesting that the new weapon introduced in Season 4 will be the Volt SMG.

The first clue actually came from the game’s developers patch notes, as they specified that the mags had been removed for “something” coming in Season 4.

Besides the small nudge from Respawn, there are leaks from the actual game files that point towards the addition of a new SMG.

A renowned data miner that goes by That1MiningGuy has been digging away through the files following the update, and has come across some interesting changes.

Files previously codenamed 'Hemlok_SMG' are now being renamed officially – to "smg_volt".

The R-99 still reigns superior in the SMG category, but hopefully the Volt will give it a run for its money.

New Character

According to the datamine, the deadly assassin Revenant will be one of the legends next up for release, alongside Rosie and Forge.

The character has already been seen in the game before, but this time he will only have the ‘Regular’ stance going forward, rather than the choice of ‘Shadow’.

This ‘Regular’ stance is reported to be:

Passive: Infiltrator – Climb walls higher and crouch walk faster

Mark for Death – Fire a poison dagger. Press again to reveal the target’s location for up to 60 seconds. The mark is removed if the target heals to full.

Poison Bomb – Launch a Poison Bomb that damages and slows targets hit. This skill will likely deal Area of Effect (AoE) damage.

Death Recall – Drop a totem that protects anyone who uses it from death. Instead of getting killed or downed, you’ll return to the totem with 20 health.

We could see Revenant any time soon, but he is most likely to arrive with Season 4.

Charity Skins

In a recent bid to help raise funds for the Australian bushfire relief effort, Apex Legends players have taken to Reddit to convince Respawn to create charity skins.

Apex Legends players shared the original post on the Apex Legends subreddit, and so far the post has gained over 65,000 upvotes.

This isn't the first time that gaming communities have tried to rally support for important causes.

Blizzard created a charity skin in the past and saw great success in raising money for Breast Cancer Foundation, raising roughly £10 million back in 2018.

It really is quite incredible what a community can do when it pulls together for a communal cause, and it would be so great to see it happen again.
