There’s been another AWS outage, and it’s brought the PSN down and Twitch down with it. The platform. It’s the latest in a string of AWS outages that makes a string of sites and services inoperable. Alongside Twitch and the PSN, this outage is also affecting QuickBooks and Hulu, among other platforms.

DownDetector shows almost 15,000 reports of PSN outages since 10 a.m. EST on December 15, and Twitch Support acknowledged the issue on Twitter. There’s no estimated time when the AWS outage might be resolved, though the severity seems to be fluctuating. The AWS dashboard shows all services are working, and the PSN checker indicates everything is functioning as normal - despite the fact it clearly isn’t.
As of 11 a.m. EST, the Twitch reports on DownDetector are starting to decrease, so it may be resolving soon.
