Captain Price Voice Actor Posts First Modern Warfare II Teaser

Following Activision's confirmation that Call of Duty 2022 is a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare, the community is patiently waiting for Infinity Ward to unveil more on the next release in the shooter franchise.

Widely believed to be Modern Warfare II, numerous leaks surrounding the game have already appeared, much to the excitement of players. With an October release likely, many are expecting the first teasers to appear in the not too distant future.

Shortly following the March 2 update for Warzone, the voice behind Captain Price unveiled what appears to be the very first teaser for the new game.

Barry Sloane, the voice behind the legendary Call of Duty character posted a psychedelic image on his Twitter page but on closer inspection, the iconic Task Force 141 badge is visible towards the top of the image.

Fans were quick to spot the badge, leaving many thinking more teasers are on the horizon. The post all but confirms Sloane is reprising the role of the Captain for the next release. Captain Price is a staple of the Call of Duty franchise, appearing in every single Modern Warfare title dating back from 2007.

When Does Modern Warfare II Release?

So far, Activision hasn't confirmed when players can get their hands on Modern Warfare II. Current rumours suggest the game could release in October 2022 due to Vanguard's poor sales figures. A release date is likely to appear in May alongside the first official trailer for the game.
