We're seeing plenty of Halo Infinite Big Team Battle matchmaking errors at the moment, so if you're struggling with this issue, read right on.
This has been a problem for some time, with the community frustrated with their struggles to get into a game of BTB going through the festive period and into the new year.
Have You Tried Turning It Off and On Again?
It's the most blatant and obvious solution, yes. However, when you quit Halo Infinite on Xbox, it doesn't close the game fully.
To close the game, find it on your home screen and highlight it. Then, press the Menu button (Start). Scroll down to 'Quit' and press it, then restart the game.
Big Team Battle Fixes Are Coming
Not to worry if you're still struggling to play BTB with friends. According to a post on Halo Waypoint in December, significant fixes in matchmaking can be expected in January. It's a high-priority issue, and one the dev team is working hard to fix.
Solo-Queue Helps
Another handy fix for this issue is to go ahead and queue into BTB games on your own. For some reason, playing the mode without a squad helps with matchmaking success, so do give that a go if you need.
Of course, sometimes you might just have to force quit the game and restart if the issue persists.
