Time to execute some enemies!

To execute enemies in Blasphemous 2, you need to do a certain amount of damage until you stun them. Once they're in a stunned state, you need to press the L2 button on PlayStation consoles or the RT button if you're playing on Xbox.

Executing enemies is not only for show, as it grants you much-needed bonuses to help you on your treacherous journey. In total, you'll get three bonuses that last a few seconds:

  • Fervour boost: Think of it as your SP, which lets you perform powerful Prayers to damage opponents.
  • Tears of Atonement: The main currency in Blasphemous 2. You can buy items and other useful items with them.
  • Martyrdom Points bonus: Get enough to earn Marks of Martyrdom, a special currency that can be used to upgrade weapons and other abilities for the Penitent One to gain strength.

Some weapons make it easier for you to execute enemies than others. We recommend that you practice with Ruego al Alba, the most balanced weapon of the three starter ones, which has a parry mechanic that makes it easier to stun opponents.

And that's it! We'll have more Blasphemous 2 guides and content for you in the coming days so stay tuned!
