The new Call of Duty title for the year is called 'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War', after the most recent website easter egg.
Now, we are awaiting the in-game reveal later this week which will be happening in Warzone.
Although it may seem obvious to some; there are still some on-going discussions about whether or not this game is a reboot.
Here's what we know!
No!
Twitter user Okami13_ has noted that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is not a reboot, this also comes off the tail end of Bloomberg reported Jason Schreier noting the same information!
What Can We Expect?
There is still so much that we do not know about the newest Call of Duty.
Albeit, it was just revealed this past week; fans are still anxious to know what we can expect out of the single-player campaign this year.
For those who do not know, a while back CharlieIntel reported the following names and locations are going to be used for missions in this year's game:
- K.G.B. (Russia)
- Siege (Russia)
- Yamantau (Russia)
- Takedown (Side Mission)
- Tundra (Side Mission)
- Hub (Germany)
- Hub 8 (Germany)
- Stakeout (Germany)
- Armada (Vietnam)
- Prisoner (Vietnam)
- Revolucion (Nicaragua)
- Amerika (Russia)
- Duga (Russia)
Frank Woods?
There is also heavily speculation that Frank Woods is going to appear on the Warzone map for the big reveal this week.
So, why would he be involved in the game reveal if he is not going to be apart of the story in some capacity? This has led fans to note whether or not this game is some sort of alternate timeline of the original Black Ops!
With so many questions yet so little answers, we are still waiting for any bit of information regarding the new game.
