After a lengthy three-month wait, League Play for Black Ops Cold War has finally released across all platforms.
The competitive playlist enables players to play like the Call of Duty League (CDL) superstars and features an up-to-date competitive ruleset, restrictions on a variety of items, and a dedicated ranking system where exclusive rewards are up for grabs.
With a limited selection of weapons and attachments to select, it can be difficult to determine which combinations are the best to use.
We’ve picked out five loadouts that will have you climbing to the top of the ladder in no time at all.

The Best Krig 6 League Play Loadout
For those looking for a weapon to lock down the wide-open areas of Checkmate or the swimming pool of Raid, the Krig 6 assault rifle is the perfect weapon to deal plenty of damage from a distance.
Here are the best attachments to use.
- Millstop Reflex (Optic)
- 19.7” Ranger (Barrel)
- Field Agent Grip (Underbarrel)
- Airborne Elastic Wrap (Handle)
- Raider Stock (Stock)
This set of attachments is used by Minnesota slayer and 2015 Call of Duty world champion Dillon “Attach” Price and after playing some matches it’s clear to see why he and other pros are using it.
The attachment selection bring recoil down to non-existent levels while the stock drastically improves overall mobility when moving around the map.
The Best XM4 League Play Loadout
While the Krig 6 excels when it comes to long-range skirmishes with an opponent, the XM4 assault rifle is much more versatile and allows you to get in amongst the action a lot more.
Here’s the best attachment combination to equip:
- Millstop Reflex (Optic)
- Infantry Compensator (Muzzle)
- 13.7” Ranger (Barrel)
- Field Agent Grip (Underbarrel)
- 40 Rnd (Magazine)
- Airborne Elastic Wrap (Handle)
- Raider Pad (Stock)
This combination of attachments does bear many similarities to that of the Krig 6, but thanks to the Gunfighter Wildcard, we’ve opted to select seven attachments to the XM4 to improve its close-range and mid-range performance.
The choice of elastic wrap and infantry compensator makes the recoil much more manageable, and combined with the ranger barrel, the XM4’s damage drop-off is minimal in nearly every single scenario imaginable.

The Best AK-47 League Play Loadout
Although the AK-47 isn’t used by the pro players thanks to the Gentlemen’s Agreement, you can still use it in League Play. Its immense damage makes the classic assault rifle a popular choice on some of the smaller maps.
These are the best attachments to use:
- Microflex LED (Optic)
- 20” Liberator (Barrel)
- Spetsnaz Speed Grip (Underbarrel)
- GRU Elastic Wrap (Handle)
- KGB Skeletal Stock (Stock)
While this combination doesn’t influence the overall firepower of the AK-47, it does improve its sprint to fire time along with the aim walking movement speed, giving you the ability to react quickly to a target and to outmanoeuvre them with ease.
The Best AK-74u League Play Loadout
Since the nerf of the MP5 shortly after the release of Black Ops Cold War, the AK-74u has dominated the SMG metagame thanks to its deadly accuracy at longer distances and incredibly fast time to kill in close-quarters combat.
We recommend using the following attachments:
- Muzzle Brake 5.45 (Muzzle)
- 9.3” Extended (Barrel)
- Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Taped Mags (Magazine)
- KGB Skeletal Stock (Stock)
These attachments make the AK-74u one of the most versatile weapons to use in League Play and are the perfect combination when battling for control of a Hardpoint hill or a Control point.
With increases in firepower and speed, the AK-74u can easily take down a target at longer distances, and thanks to an increase in the sprint to fire speed, you can react to anything that comes your way in the blink of an eye.
The Best LW3 – Tundra League Play Loadout
Like the AK-47, the use of sniper rifles has also been added to the Gentlemen’s Agreement, but with that not being enforced in League Play, the LW3 – Tundra is the ideal weapon to use when attempting to open up a bombsite on Search & Destroy.
Here are the best attachments to use:
- Stabilizer .308 (Muzzle)
- 26.5” Hammer Forged (Barrel)
- Bruiser Grip (Underbarrel)
- Fast Mag (Magazine)
- Field Tape (Handle)
With the restriction of the Tiger Team barrel, we opted for the hammer-forged barrel to earn a 30% increase in fire rate which is ideal if the first shot doesn’t connect with its intended target.
The rest of the attachments focus on improving the mobility of the sniper rifle and also provide a 90% increase to flinch resistance, allowing you to stay focused on the target even when under fire.
