Black Ops Cold War had plenty of interesting tidbits emerge that didn't feature in the headlines.
While they may go unnoticed for several more weeks, until launch, we're always interested in the little things that make game quality that much better.
One of those is map voting - remember that old chestnut?
It's been a while since we could vote for our map selection and many fans are confused why that is.
While we don't have an answer why, we do have the answer to whether it will be in the new Call of Duty!
Will Map Voting Be In Black Ops Cold War?
YES - Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature map voting.
The map veto feature was removed in Modern Warfare and hasn't been seen since Black Ops 4.
Some influencers, such as CharlieINTEL, informed users that the map veto system was not in the Alpha build.
While we were momentarily disheartened, there was a moment of rejoicing once the this was corrected.
Eagle-eyed viewers spotted the feature in the NoahJ456's gameplay.
Map vetoing allows the player to vote for the previous map again or an entirely new map.
While it's unclear if there's a limit on how many consecutive times a map can be played, we can assume that two will be the limit; as this is the norm in past games.
We can also assume this feature will be available for all modes.
With a ranked playlist more than likely being added, it's unknown whether this feature will be added there.
Black Ops Cold War releases on the 13th November 2020 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
