After an off-season that felt like an eternity, the start of the 2021 Call of Duty League (CDL) season is right around the corner.
The off-season played host to a variety of changes to the format of Call of Duty’s top competition. It was announced that team structure would revert to 4v4 and competition would move from consoles to PC for the very first time.
With such a drastic change to team structure, all 12 franchises have made changes to their starting rosters, which has led to some interesting changes between the teams.
The Minnesota RØKKR started last season on the front foot before drifting into the mid-table battle and ahead of the Black Ops Cold War season, the franchise will be intent on looking to rekindle that form that saw it contend with the other North American franchises.

Minnesota RØKKR CDL 2021 Roster
The RØKKR were one of the first franchises to lock in its four-man roster for the new season. The franchise opted for a complete overhaul, releasing its entire roster, and acquiring four new faces to represent the brand.
Joining the franchise is 2015 world champion Dillon “Attach” Price, superstar Assault Rifle player Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak, former New York Subliner Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi, and ex-Atlanta FaZe sub-machine gunner Preston “Priestahh” Greiner.
On paper, this is certainly a formidable roster. The combination of Attach and Priestahh leading the charge in the slaying department can cause plenty of problems for teams that like to play at a slower pace while having Accuracy as a secondary line of attack is an ideal player to have when it comes to picking up any trades.
Arguably one of the strongest main assault rifle players of the 2020 season, MajorManiak has a pivotal role to play on this team. As the main AR, manipulating spawns to favour the team and holding down the more open areas of the map with deadly precision can often be the difference between earning plenty of Hardpoint time or spawning on the opposite side of the map.
With a wealth of experience under the belts of these four players, is Minnesota the dark horse to keep an eye on during the season?

The Dark Horse
The level of competition heading into the 2021 season is as high as it’s ever been. With this combination of players, Minnesota certainly has the chance to make its way to the top of the league table.
While a lot of the focus is on the likes of Chicago OpTic and the Dallas Empire, fans should be paying more attention to the RØKKR, who have a great opportunity to become one of North America’s top teams.
