Call of Duty League 2022: How to Watch, Schedule, Teams & Everything You Need To Know

After a lengthy off-season, the arrival of new teams, and major roster moves, the start of the 2022 Call of Duty League (CDL) is right around the corner, much to the excitement of the competitive community. As the start of the Vanguard season nears, the world's best players have been practicing ahead of the Kickoff Classic, the first LAN tournament of the year.

The 2022 season features a brand-new format alongside plenty of mid-season action, adding even more competitive action for players and fans alike. In this article, find absolutely everything you need to know about the 2022 CDL season, including the full schedule, prize pool, teams, and more.

How to Watch the 2022 Call of Duty League

Just like last season, the Call of Duty League will be streamed exclusively live on its YouTube channel.

Before the regular season begins, all 12 teams will be in action for the Kickoff Classic tournament. Once the pre-season action has concluded, qualifiers for Major 1 will begin. The full schedule for the 2022 CDL Majors is as follows:

  • Major 1: Online Qualifiers - February 4th-20th
  • Major 1: LAN Hosted by OpTic Texas - March 3rd-6th
  • Major 2: Online Qualifiers - March 11th-27th
  • Major 2: LAN Hosted by Minnesota Rokkr - March 31st-April 3rd
  • Major 3: Online Qualifiers - May 13th-29th
  • Major 3: LAN Hosted by Toronto Ultra - June 2nd-5th
  • Major 4: Online Qualifiers - July 1st-17th
  • Major 4: LAN Hosted by New York Subliners - July 21st-24th
  • Championship Weekend: On LAN. Dates & Location TBD

Between Major 2 and Major 3 is the mid-season break and joining the All-Star Weekend will be a Warzone tournament involving CDL players and the Pro-Am Classic, a tournament where the best Challengers teams will face off against CDL rosters for a $100,000 prize pool.   • CDL Warzone Pacific Tournament: Online - April 24th
  • Pro-Am Classic: LAN - May 5th-8th - Location TBD

There are a total of 12 teams that compete in the Call of Duty League. Following a merger between OpTic Gaming and Team Envy, the Dallas Empire has been replaced by the Boston Breach, owned by Oxygen Esports. Here's a complete list of teams:

Call of Duty League 2022 Prize Pool

The exact details on the prize pool for the 2022 season have yet to be revealed but it's expected that millions of dollars will be up for grabs over the course of the season. As soon as we hear more, we will update this article with the latest information.

Call of Duty League 2022 Format

With all 12 teams attending the four Majors over the course of the year, the weeks prior to the event will be used to determine the seeding for the double-elimination bracket. The top eight teams will start in the winner's bracket while the bottom four teams will have to start their tournament in the elimination bracket, leaving no room for error.

Qualification matches will take place online while the Majors will be held on LAN in front of a live audience.
