MW2 Campaign Remastered: Best Quotes In Modern Warfare 2

MW2 Campaign Remastered could be dropping any minute now, meaning in theory we've got three Call of Duty titles in the last six months including Warzone and Modern Warfare 2019.

Modern Warfare 2 might not be bringing its excellent multiplayer back, but that's not to say there's not plenty of quality to be found in the campaign.

Aside from all the gunfire and explosions, there are some excellent pieces of dialogue too. Here are our favourites, but needless to say – SPOILERS AHEAD.

Modern Warfare 2 Remastered: The Best Quotes

Price:["The Enemy of My Enemy"; over radio] Makarov, this is Price. Shepherd's a war hero now. He's got your operations playbook and he's got a blank check. Give me what you've got on Shepherd, and I'll take care of the rest.

I know you can hear me on this channel, Makarov. You and I both know you won't last a week.

Vladimir Makarov:...And neither will you.

Price:Makarov... You ever hear the old saying, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"?

Vladimir Makarov:Price, one day you're going to find that cuts both ways. Shepherd is using Site Hotel Bravo. You know where it is. I'll see you in hell.

Price:Looking forward to it. Give my regards to Zakhaev if you get there first.

Captain Price:This is for the record. History is written by the victor. History is filled with liars. If he lives and we die, his truth becomes written - and ours is lost. Shepherd will a hero, 'cause all you need to change the world is one good lie and a river of blood. He's about to complete the greatest trick a liar ever played on history. His truth will be the truth. But only if he lives, and we die.

Soap, aiming his gun at Price as he reveals himself:Drop it!

Price:Soap?

Soap:Price?

Soap, handing the gun to Price:This belongs to you, sir.

General ShepherdThe more things change, the more they stay the same. Boundaries shift, new players step in, but power always finds a place to rest its head. We fought and bled alongside the Russians. We shoulda' known they'd hate us for it. History is written by the victor, and here I am thinking we won. But you bring down one enemy and they find someone even worse to replace him. Locations change the rationale, the objective. Yesterday's enemies are today's recruits. Train them to fight alongside you, and pray they don't eventually decide to hate you for it, too.

Vladimir MakarovRevenge is like a ghost... It takes over every man it touches... Its thirst cannot be quenched... Until the last man standing has fallen...

General ShepherdYou know what they say about revenge, you'd better be ready to dig two graves. Go ahead, end it. It won't change anything. Hmph, I knew you couldn't do it. You're a good warrior, but you could never take that extra step to do what was absolutely necessary.
