Call of Duty has been no stranger to collaborations recently, getting the likes of Nicki Minaj and characters from The Walking Dead as Operators. It looks like that trend is continuing, as Ahmed Best has seemingly teased a Star Wars crossover with the best-selling shooter.
Best posted an image of himself wearing mocap gear on Instagram, with the post saying “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” This is about his Star Wars return, portraying a Jedi who rescued Grogu during the events of Order 66.
While Best doesn’t outright mention Call of Duty on his post, the actor did mention Activision and Star Wars in his hashtags. Since we don’t have any news about an Activision Star Wars game, fans have assumed that Best is doing motion capture for a potential Star Wars Operator in Call of Duty.
Since we see Best doing the motion capture, fans are wondering if we’ll see his return as Jar Jar Binks in a Call of Duty game. There’s also the possibility of him simply portraying Kelleran Beq, the aforementioned Jedi who saved Grogu, which would be fitting. Until Best and Activision start confirming this collaboration, all we can do is speculate.
It wouldn’t surprise us if we eventually see Star Wars characters appear in either Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone, given the game’s current state. Rick Grimes and Michonne from The Walking Dead were recently added to the game, with more guest Operators likely coming soon. While we doubt the shooter will go full Fortnite with its collaborations, getting Star Wars would still be a huge deal to many.
Even with the possible inclusion of Star Ward characters, Modern Warfare 3 remains a stain on the franchise’s reputation. At the time of writing, MW3 is the lowest-rated entry in the franchise and fans are hoping that the next game does better.

Both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are readily available. Only time will tell if they get Star Wars Operators but that’s not impossible.
