Leaks and rumours are nothing new within the Call of Duty community. With publisher Activision known for being extremely secretive when it comes to the release of a brand-new title, the rumour mill is often turning with various theories and leaks emerging on a regular basis.
A leak that has caught the attention of many is one that was posted on anonymous forum 4Chan.
It revealed numerous details including a working title, setting, how the maps played, and even revealed some of the weapons that were a part of the arsenal.
As always, leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt but all of the information revealed in the leak certainly sounds exciting. Could it be detailing COD 2021 or is it simply too good to be true?

COD 2021 4Chan Leak
According to the leak, the game is set just after the events of 2019s Modern Warfare and sees operators carrying out deadly criminal heists. A somewhat surprising diversion from the gritty takes on conflicts.
The leak also reveals several details from the multiplayer, stating that the engine used in Modern Warfare was being used alongside the design of the maps being geared to providing more competitive matches thanks to a 3-lane design.
Weapons such as the Uzi, 725 and the AK-47 were specifically mentioned and were said to feel “very similar” to their Modern Warfare counterparts.

Is It Legit?
After it was reported that the working title for COD 2021 is WWII: Vanguard, it’s more than likely that this particular leak has nothing to do with the 2021 instalment of the Call of Duty franchise.
While it may not be for COD 2021, there’s every possibility that this information is surrounding COD 2022 which is rumoured to be a spin-off from the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare.
Without official confirmation, we can’t determine the accuracy of this information so it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt.
