The wait is over: Critical Role has locked in the release date for Daggerheart—May 20, 2025. It’s been a long ride with development, testing, and fan feedback, and now the game is ready to make its debut. Fans can pre-order physical copies through Daggerheart’s official website and select Darrington Press Guild stores and local game shops.

Digital copies will be available through platforms like Demiplane and DriveThruRPG. In case you missed the early pre-order, Daggerheart will be available in stores from June 3, 2025. Daggerheart brings a unique twist to RPG systems like Dungeons & Dragons with its mechanics.

The Daggerheart Core Set is available for pre-order at $60. You’ll get a 300-page hardcover rulebook, 279 character cards, and the rules in PDF form. The Limited Edition Core Set goes for $150 and comes with bonus content like an alternate cover, a GM screen, custom dice, and exclusive tokens.

Since the Limited Edition is exclusive to a few channels, pre-ordering is recommended to ensure you get one. The digital version is available for $35 on Demiplane, or for $45, you can get the print-and-play card option as well. Along with the release date, Critical Role is giving fans a bunch of chances to check out Daggerheart before it drops.

The game will be featured at a number of conventions this year, including GAMA Expo, Gen Con, UK Games Expo, and PAX Unplugged. The events are a great chance for fans to test the game, talk to the creators, and get an up-close look at what Daggerheart has to offer. As Daggerheart gets closer to its release and Critical Role celebrates 10 years, the timing couldn’t be better for this new RPG system to hit the scene.
