For now, though, let’s cut right to the chase by answering the question at hand.
Is there a flashlight in Cyberpunk 2077?
Unfortunately, at the time of writing you cannot make use of a flashlight within Cyberpunk 2077, as there is no flashlight tool present within the game.
There is no key binding for it, nor would holding down a letter key on your keyboard for a couple of seconds (e.g. the ‘F’ key) avail one for your in-game character.
You also can’t purchase a flashlight from a vendor in the game, or conversely, make use of Cyberware that can improve your vision in dark game scenes.
Will the flashlight be added to Cyberpunk 2077?
We aren’t expecting flashlights to be added into Cyberpunk 2077 any time soon, and for good reason.
According to the Lead Quest Designer for Cyberpunk 2077 - Pawel Sasko - the developers believed that adding a flashlight in the game would ruin the naturally produced lighting contrasts of Night City.
Basically, the team behind the game’s creative decision-making process vetoed the inclusion of flashlights because if you can brighten up certain areas as you see fit, it could ruin the artistic style of scenes in the game that the design team was going for.
