How to beat Chimera in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
When you begin the Chimera boss fight in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, you'll want to immediately go to the highest floor possible. This boss area has multiple levels, and the high ground is incredibly helpful.
This is because Chimera's visible weak spots are all around its top, and hitting those weak areas is the place to deal damage initially. Simply make your way up as high as possible, then run laps of the arena while shooting at the highlighted weak spots. Any guns will do the job, but sniper rifles and shotguns should prove especially effective.

Once you get the Chimera boss down to 70% health, it'll spawn in some drones that circle around, healing it and attacking you. This only happens once in the fight, so ensure you take them out as quickly as you can to prevent Chimera healing and maximising your damage output.
After all of those aforementioned weak spots have been destroyed, the entirety of Chimera's body can take damage. It's a simple case of constantly moving around and plugging in as many shots as you can, healing when you need to. Keep going until its health bar hits zero, and the Chimera boss will be defeated!
What is the Chimera boss in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty?
Chimera is the first main boss fight in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, appearing at the end of the second mission. You and your new companion Songbird have just finished saving President Myers from a downed ship, before she enters a Militech tank. Not all goes to plan though, as the tank has a mind of its own, and a fight ensues.
After a brief chase sequence, you'll enter a boss arena to fight Chimera, in an area with various cover spots on multiple levels. Then, you'll have to fight.
What are the rewards for beating the Chimera boss in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty?
Once Chimera has been defeated, it'll drop a power core as the main loot. The game doesn't instruct you to pick it up, but you're given the choice whether to store it or leave it be.
As it stands though, this decision doesn't seem to carry much weight into Phantom Liberty more broadly. There's nothing explicit later on in the game to address this choice, so you could likely just sell Chimera's core for some extra eddies.
