Bungie doesn't shy away from admitting they've made mistakes; on the contrary, they often celebrate them, just as it's happening with The Craftening Emblem in Destiny 2.
Just as revealed during the October 12 This Week in Destiny 2 blog post, The Craftening emblem has been created to commemorate the infamous weapon crafting bug glitch that took place during mid-September.
During that timeframe, players could add specific perks to craftable weapons that otherwise were impossible to merge, resulting in some hilariously overpowered combinations.
While the bug was reverted, much like other infamous glitches in Destiny 2, like the iconic D1 loot cave or Telesto, fans will get to keep a small cosmetic to celebrate such an occasion. Let's tell you how to get The Craftening emblem in Destiny 2.
How to get weapon crafting bug emblem in Destiny 2
To get The Craftening emblem in Destiny 2 there is nothing you need to do. The only requirement was that you played between September 15 (Friday) at 9 am PDT and 21 September (Thursday) at 10 am PDT, and then you would receive the emblem.
If you didn't play during that time, and unless you have a time machine at your disposal, no, there won't be another way to get your hands on it. Bungie did tease a future event, or at least something related to the weapon crafting bug coming at a different time, but don't expect the emblem to be a part of it.
How to claim The Craftening emblem in Destiny 2
Since this will be a direct gift with no code required, you must simply head to your Collections tab and search in the Emblem section to claim it. With the start of Season of the Witch, this emblem can now be acquired, so hop on Destiny 2 and get your free reward.
