Over time we've seen more and more content coming to Destiny 2, especially since Bungie left Activision.
The game continues to improve over time but there's one major thing on players' minds – will Destiny 2 be coming to Nintendo Switch?
With Google Stadia making portable gameplay an option, could Bungie's loot-shooter come to a handheld?
Here's what we know so far.
This piece will be continually updated as more information is revealed.
Is Destiny 2 Coming To Nintendo Switch?
In an interview with IGN around the time of Destiny 2's release project lead, Mark Noseworthy, commented on the possibility of the game coming to Switch.
He said that the studio had “no announcements to make about the Switch at this time".
When then pushed on the matter he continued.
"I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right?"
"The Switch, because it’s a portable – and I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me. It’s incredible".
“I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want [to] leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch.”
If this is the case still it's a shame as Destiny 2 has such a loyal and passionate fan base.
We'd likely see many out and about diving into the world of the MMO.
Games such as DOOM and The Witcher 3 have made their way to the Switch and seen massive sales.
Although Destiny 2 is a pretty intense game, it doesn't seem like one that couldn't run on Nintendo's portable console.
Even so, if it were to struggle, most players likely wouldn't mind a slight reduction in graphics for the added portability.
