September 19, 2023: Destiny 2 will be brought offline for two hours at a time where the weekly reset usually occurs.

Destiny 2 Season of the Deep is done, and following The Final Shape showcase, we have Season of the Witch.

We've previously covered the new Season 22 Artifact mods and perks. Sadly, this season has been a bumpy ride in terms of bugs, with a recent game-breaking glitch causing Legendary weapons to inherit Exotic traits taking over the game.

Here's what you can expect regarding Destiny 2 server maintenance, including how long will the servers be down and when can you expect them to get back online.

Season of the Deep is coming

On 19 Seotember, Bungie will take the servers down for some maintenance ahead as they try to fix the weapon crafting bug.

  • Expected log in: 10 AM PDT (-7 UTC)
  • Expected end: 12 PM

Bungie always keeps their devoted players in the loop when it comes to server updates so expect official info soon.

When are the Destiny 2 servers back?

So far, there are no current issues with the game outside the scheduled maintained that will happen on 22 August.

Usually, Destiny servers get clogged at the start of a new season, so don't expect things to change too much when Season of the Deep hits. In fact, you may get with the classic Destiny 2 is temporarily at capacity.

This downtime is particularly annoying as it was scheduled right when a new Season of the Witch weekly reset came about, basically delaying the start of the week in Destiny 2.

Sadly, all players can do right now is wait it out and see if Bungie's fixes for the weapon crafting glitch have gone live or if you still have the opportunity to craft an incredible God Roll.
