Feral's Den is one of the many dungeons found in Diablo 4. It has several beasts and wildwoods, so be sure to have the right stats and items before heading to this dungeon. We've whipped up this guide below on the Feral's Den quest to help you make your adventure more manageable.
Completing the Feral's Den might become a challenge because you'll be encountering several enemies along the way. But the rewards will hopefully outweigh the struggles this dungeon gives.
How to complete Feral's Den in Diablo 4
Feral's Den, as a dungeon, is a hotspot for farming enemies. Before entering the dungeon, you must first conquer the Moordaine Lodge Stronghold. You'll be able to find the dungeon at the far northern part of Moordaine Lodge.
Upon entering Feral's Den, you'll be given tasks to complete. Here they are as follows:
- Collect Animus from Animus Carriers
- Deposit Animus into the Animus Urn
- Travel to the Feral Depths
- Activate the Runestones
- Travel to the Ritual of Rampage
- Defeat Innes, Vengeance of Glor-an-Fhaidha
First, you have to collect Animus from Animus Carriers, which are elite monsters you have to deal with. There could be multiple Animus Carriers in your encounter, so be sure you're prepared. You'll be able to get some loot from them like from normal Elites. Take note though that Animus Carriers don't usually spawn beside each other.
When you've obtained the amount of Animus needed, the second objective will then appear, which is "Deposit Animus into Animus Urn". This entails that you must find an urn. The Animus Urn can be found near a door that leads to the next area. Once you've found the urn, you can interact with it to deposit the Animus and then take on the next objective, "Travel to the Feral Depths".
When you've travelled to the Feral Depths, you'll gain the objective of "Activate the Runestones". Take note that there are two large runestones within the Dungeon, so you should take some time to look around and find them. After finding the rune stones and interacting with them, you can open the boss chamber, which unlocks the "Travel to the Ritual of Rampage" objective.
Once you're in the boss chamber, you can complete the "Travel to the Ritual of Rampage" task. This will open up the penultimate task of "Defeat Innes, Vengeance of Glor-an-Fhaidha".
How to defeat Innes, Vengeance of Glor-an-Fhaidha
Innes, Vengeance of Glor-an-Fhaidha is the Feral's Den Boss. Keep in mind that Innes has elemental moves so it's important to be wary of his AoEs as these can slow down your movement speed and you could be damaged through launched projectiles.
Moreover, Innes features lightning abilities. He has a Lightning Bolt move that creates small AoEs at first, but the boss also has other moves. There are Cyclones which summon whirlwinds that shoot out lightning bolts. Additionally, there are also Lightning Mines that can spawn underneath you and if you find yourself in these mines, you'll be dealt with moderate damage. Lastly, there are Lightning Strikes which create a line of lightning bolts that strike a specific area.
To combat all these moves, it's important to keep moving and observe the AoE placements of Innes, so you know how to avoid his attacks. Once you've defeated Innes, you'll complete the Feral's Den, earn Renown, and gain access to the Aspect of Quicksand.
