June 2 - Now that Diablo 4 has hit early access, you may need some advice on what to sell.

If you are wondering what items to sell in Diablo 4, you have probably started to fill up your inventory. Diablo 4 players will find themselves overflowing with items just mere hours into Blizzard Entertainment's latest dungeon-crawling RPG. A full inventory of items means that players might have to make some hard decisions on what stays and what goes.

You can drop items while out during an adventure to pick up even more items if it's absolutely necessary, but that would be depriving yourself of gold that could be used for upgrades and other purchases. Some items will be safe to sell, while others will not. Here's how to know if you should sell your loot.

What items to sell in Diablo 4

Not every item the player gets can be sold for gold. The following items can be sold at vendors: weapons, armour, accessories, and consumables.

Crafting materials and Aspects cannot be sold. Both of these types of items exist in different menus from the inventory screen, and will not appear when selling items. There is also no option to sell these items.

Players low on gold should focus on selling weapons, armour, and accessories that are not currently in use. Finding new gear to upgrade your character will come naturally in the early stages of the game, so it will be very easy to not get attached to one piece of gear. Therefore, you can constantly sell on items that you no longer need.

How to sell items in Diablo 4

Diablo 4 players can sell items that are allowed to be sold at different vendors at various towns across Sanctuary. There are three types of vendors that are marked on the map.

The weapon vendor is represented with a sword icon, the accessories shop is represented by an amulet necklace, and the armour vendor is represented by a chestplate icon. Players can visit any of these shops to sell anything. For example, it isn't required to sell only weapons at the weapons vendor.

Players can visit a vendor and select any available item in their inventory to be sold by using the control stick and confirm button on controller, or right-click on the mouse.

However, items cannot be sold to Blacksmiths. They are represented as an anvil icon on the map, and are often near other vendors. Blacksmiths can only upgrade and salvage items, and not buy them from the player.
