Diablo 4 Season 1 – new questline
With the Sanctuary in a state of corruption, it’s upon you to take a stand as a player in order to restore the peace.
Your character will partner with Cormond – a former priest of the Cathedral of Light – to discover the root source of the evil and prevent the spread of the Malignant at all costs.
What else to expect in Diablo 4 Season 1
Players have been given more powers to add to their arsenal as there are over 30 new Malignant Powers to wield. What’s even better is the fact that there’s a new boss battle included in the storyline, which pits your character against the catalyst of corruption - Varshan the Consumed.
One thing that players will have to get used to is the decision by Blizzard to implement character resets, which prevent players from using the character who saved Sanctuary during the main campaign in this season or the upcoming ones.
Instead, players will be tasked with creating a new hero to win the battle of good versus evil. What this means is that players will have to select the ‘Seasonal Realm’ during character creation as opposed to the main ‘Eternal Realm’.
Luckily enough, Blizzard have given players a decent trade-off for this by allowing seasonal characters to begin their journeys with a mount, meaning they won’t have to make an arduous trek at the start of the campaign.
