Who is Diablo in Diablo 3?

Diablo, the Lord of Terror, is one of the three Prime Evils, born from one of the seven heads of the dragon Tathamet. As the youngest Prime Evil, his domain was the Realm of Terror, but nowadays he's invading the High Heavens, after possessing Leah and absorbing the soul of all the Great evils, once again becoming the Prime Evil itself.

Where Is Diablo In Diablo 3

Diablo will await at the top of the Crystal Arch of the High Heavens, after traveling across the Silver Spire, at the end of Act IV, shortly after defeating Izual. It's worth noting that none of your followers can join you in this fight against the Prime Evil, so keep that in mind if you wanna be well prepared.

How Do You Kill Diablo in Diablo 3?

Once the fight starts, Diablo will use the following moves in battle:

Phase 1

Slash: Diablo does a fast melee attack that inflicts average Physical damage.

Fireball: A ground-based missile that, upon reaching any target or obstacle, explodes into a pool of fire, doing high Fire damage over time if you're caught in it.

Flame Circle: Diablo summons a circle of fireballs, each dealing Fire damage and moving in all directions.

Fire Wall: Diablo summons a wall of fireballs, dealing high Fire damage.

Bone Prison: Creates a series of black pools on the ground, trying to create them as close to the player as possible. If caught in it, Diablo will teleport to you, grab you by the throat and drain your health before slamming you into the floor. This attack cannot actually kill a hero (reducing to 1 Life instead), but is often followed by a Slash. Some defensive abilities can be used while grabbed. Note that Bone Prison stuns the character instead of immobilizing them, so Teleporting out will not be possible.

Teleport: Used both to get closer to ranged characters and to avoid melee combat. Used automatically if player gets caught into the Bone Prison.

Phase 2

Shadow of Diablo: This entity has half the total HP of Diablo in phase 1, but from time to time he disappears and summons Shadow Clones. After you kill the Shadow Clone, Shadow of Diablo will return.

Prime Evil's Curse: Places one of seven curses on you for 12 seconds. Those are various debuffs, with different effects and inspired by the Great Evils.

Shadow Clone: The Shadow Clone appears at the beginning of the fight and every 45 seconds, taking the form of your primary class and using your abilities, with each Shadow Clone dropping a guaranteed Health Globe when it dies.

Phase 3

Dash: Diablo's movement speed increases for a short time.

Red Lightning Hose: Diablo shoots a beam that inflicts very high Fire or Lightning damage. You can either take cover behind one of the two crystals in the Arch or outrun it.

This is it, this is the Fight to liberate the High Heavens from Diablo's influence. For the most part, you will be fine just focusing on him and keep moving as he attacks. Diablo can be fast and hit very hard, so it's important that you read the room and act accordingly as soon as you figure his attacks.

Once the second phase starts things can get a bit crazy and you must kill the Shadow Clones as fast as you can, otherwise it can get to be a really slow fight if you take too long to defeat his Shadow. Since the third phase will have minimum changes, it's recommended to attack with everything you got, and you should be eventually able to defeat the lord of terror.
