If you're wondering how to drift in Disney Speedstorm, you're in the right place. The new kart racer features all your favourite Disney characters, but it's also a perfectly nimble racer alongside its bright aesthetics.

In this guide, we'll break down how to drift around a corner in the game. This is a crucial skill for maintaining your speed going into a corner, while also giving yourself a competitive edge against opponents.

How do I drift in Disney Speedstorm?

To drift in Disney Speedstorm, you simply need to hold down the dedicated drift button while turning a corner. On PC this is the Shift key, while on consoles you'll need to hold down the left trigger on your controller.

Doing this will cause your kart to drift around a corner, which can be a quicker way to take a turn in the track over braking. However, drifting also fills up the Manual Boost Bar, giving you a short burst of acceleration once you come out of a corner.

On top of that, if you drift continuously for more than 1.5 seconds, your kart's wheels will start to glow. This indicates that Drift Boosting is enabled, which gives you an even further speed boost when you turn out of the drift, alongside the aforementioned manual boost. Therefore, the better you get at controlling your drift arcs, the faster you'll be in Disney Speedstorm.

Lastly, it's worth noting that racers in the Trickster class are naturally better drifters. In fact, drifting with a Trickster will give you double the amount of manual boost as all other classes receive. Therefore, it's worth considering when you decide which type of racer to main.
