Down to Earth is one of Pumbaa’s Friendship Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley. During his time as a member of WALL-E’s Astronomy Club, Pumbaa has developed a new interest in stars, particularly for those that fall from the sky. He asks for your assistance in preparing for a fantastic meteor shower that will interest everyone in Dreamlight Valley.

To assist with this task, you'll gather resources, craft necessary items, and collect meteorite pieces to put on a spectacular show for the villagers. If you're aiming to finish the Down to Earth quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this guide will outline every step you need to take.

Down to Earth Quest Guide

The Down to Earth Quest is a friendship quest given to you by Pumbaa. It features many fun and explorative activities where you have to organize a meteor shower event for him. To do this, you will have to prepare pamphlets, collect fallen meteorite fragments, and host a meteorite showcase for the villagers.

Along the way, you will also meet other members of WALL-E’s Astronomy Club and help them to see the meteorites that have fallen from space. Being a friendship quest, it will not only increase your bond with Pumbaa but will also reward you with Glass furniture items for your collection.

How to Trigger This Quest

To trigger the Down to Earth quest, you will need to make sure that you have reached Friendship Level 7 with Pumbaa. In addition to this, you will also have to unlock the following characters in Dreamlight Valley:

  • Buzz Lightyear
  • WALL-E
  • Prince Eric
  • Tiana

After completing these conditions, Pumbaa will approach you and is excited to tell you about a purple star he and Timon saw. He believes it to be a sign of a rare meteor shower. Pumbaa asks for your help to prepare for the event, and this triggers the start of this friendship quest.

Gather Materials for Meteor Shower Pamphlets

Pumbaa’s first objective is to create Meteor Shower Pamphlets to inform the villagers about the event. He will need your help to gather the required materials to craft them. To craft pamphlets, you will need the following items:

  • Pink Houseleek (5): Found in the Sunlit Plateau
  • Red Bromeliad (8): Also located in the Sunlit Plateau
  • Dry Wood (10): Can be gathered from the ground near trees in the Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, or Forgotten Lands

After collecting these items, head to any Crafting Station in the Valley and craft four Meteor Shower Pamphlets. Once crafted, you are all set to deliver them.

Deliver Pamphlets to Astronomy Club Members

After crafting the Meteor Shower Pamphlets, it is time to hand them over to the members of WALL-E’s Astronomy Club. The club members you need to visit are:

  • Buzz Lightyear
  • Prince Eric
  • Tiana
  • WALL-E

Once you have handed them all out, return to Pumbaa to let him know the Astronomy Club is ready for the meteor shower.

Place Merlin’s Spare Telescope

To get the best view of the meteor shower, Pumbaa gives you Merlin’s Spare Telescope. You can place the telescope anywhere in Dreamlight Valley. While the game suggests waiting until nightfall (between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.) for an optimal experience, it's optional, and you can still enjoy the view at any time.

You can place and interact with the telescope at any time to proceed with the quest. Once the telescope is placed, interact with it. A Memory will appear that reveals the locations of a few meteor showers in the Valley.

Search for Meteorite Fragments

After viewing the Memory, you will need to track down three missing Meteorite Fragments that are scattered throughout Dreamlight Valley. Each Memory will lead you to a different location:

  • Skull Rock: The first fragment is found outside the Skull Rock.
  • Forest of Valor: The second fragment is located near the river, closest to the Plaza side of the Forest of Valor.
  • Sunlit Plateau: The final fragment is found near Scar’s Cave in the Sunlit Plateau.

After acquiring all three meteorite fragments, return to Pumbaa, who will express his excitement and suggest putting the meteorite on display for everyone in the Valley.

Craft the Meteorite Display

Pumbaa wants to showcase the meteorite, but first, you need to repair it. Head to a Crafting Station and craft the Meteorite in Glass. To do this, you will need the following materials:

  • Meteorite Fragments (3): Collected during the previous step.
  • Gold Ingots (3): To craft each Gold Ingot, you will need 5 Gold Nuggets (mined in Sunlit Plateau, Vitalys Mines, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands) and 1 Coal Ore.
  • Glass (12): You can craft it from 5 Sand and 1 Coal Ore.

Once the Meteorite in Glass is crafted, you are ready for the display.

To celebrate the meteorite’s arrival, you will need to create a showcase. Pumbaa asks you to place the meteorite in a display and decorate the area around it. To do this, gather the following items:

  • The Meteorite in Glass
  • 1 Rug: Any rug from your inventory will work
  • 6 Pieces of Seating: Select six different chairs or seating options to complete the display

After arranging the items, the showcase will be ready. Gather the members of the Astronomy Club and celebrate this special event with them. Now once again, interact with Pumbaa, to finally complete this quest. After the quest is concluded, you will get the following rewards:

  • 2200 Friendship Points
  • Meteorite in Glass
