Want to know how to find Miasmite in Dragon's Dogma 2? You've come to the right place.
Miasmite is a peculiar resource in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that you need for a few different reasons. While it can be used to enhance your equipment to a new level, it’s also required for the Saint of the Slums quest that you accept from the abbess at the Gracious Hands location in Vernworth.
If you’re on the Saint of the Slums quest specifically, you need to gather three Miasmite and deliver them to the abbess. There’s no time limit for this quest, thankfully, this quest doesn’t come close to ending with just gathering the Miasmite. Dragon’s Dogma 2 Miasmite location
The primary way to find Miasmite is by killing the green ghosts that only appear at night. The ghosts have a green tint to them and they fly around with several skulls across their “face.”
They almost look like small green clouds, but they fly near the ground and can escape if you don’t kill them quickly enough. You can see a screenshot of what one looks like below.
These ghosts are only found roaming around at night, so you’ll need to advance time at an inn or campsite or simply wait until the sun drops to start searching for them. I had great luck looking for the ghosts around Checkpoint Rest Town, but they’re also outside Vernworth and all over the rest of the map as well.
Once you find one, you’ll need to start attacking it. Fortunately, all forms of attacks work on the ghosts, so you can hit them with a sword, arrow, or magical attack to inflict damage. The ghosts can run away, though, so you need to make sure you’re keeping up with them and dealing enough damage.
After a ghost is dead, it has a good chance to drop one Miasmite as loot. It won’t happen every time, but most ghosts drop the resource.
If you’re struggling to find ghosts, you can also kill the undead, flying spirit with the purple-glowing staff (as seen in the featured image).
These spirits are incredibly rare to find and they are considered a major boss. However, when killed, they drop Miasmite as well as a flurry of other valuable resources. I was able to find one right outside the Checkpoint Rest Town, but your experiences will likely vary.
How to deliver Miasmite for Saint of the Slums quest
Once you have three Miasmite in your inventory, all that’s left to do is travel back to Vernworth, head down to the Gracious Hands location, and turn in the resource to the abbess.
After you do that, the abbess offers you the opportunity to tour the Gracious Hands area. If you want to continue with the Saint of the Slums quest, answer “yes” to this proposition. This leads to one of the best side quests in the entirety of Dragon’s Dogma 2, so I highly recommend spending some time to complete Saint of the Slums in full.
