Techland had recently promised a development update, with fans of the zombie-slashing, parkour-filled sequel hoping for a release window.

The update did come but lacks any real information – taking the form of Techland employees reading out tweets from unhappy fans waiting for an update.

Techland confirms it is looking to talk about the game "very soon", before suggesting a 2021 launch window is still on the cards.

Dying Light 2 has had a tumultuous development so far, with the game's lead writer being removed from the project after sexual harassment allegations, while a report from The Gamer revealed a workplace environment that allegedly pushes talent out of the door.
