The combo just clicks, dealing massive damage to enemies. You can’t do this alone—you need your squad to make it happen.

To trigger a Battle Art Chain, you must prepare your companion or officer by filling up their Chain Meter.

As you battle, this meter fills based on how you play, so better performance means faster chains.

To fill up the meter, focus on parrying enemy hits. It not only blocks them but also helps your companion get ready faster.

Likewise, pulling off perfect dodges (avoiding enemy strikes at the last second) also contributes to filling the Chain Meter.

You can also kill enemy officers to increase your meter and reduce the overall threat in the battle.

Combos on enemies are also a quick way to rack up the meter. If you stay on top of the fight, your companion’s Chain Meter will fill faster, so you can hit that Battle Art Chain sooner.

Keep an eye on your companion's status—once their Chain Meter is full, you can move on to the next part of the chain.

You’ll notice a blue link between you and them as soon as your companion is set.

This blue line signals a Battle Art Chain opportunity has been triggered.

If you see blue hexagons above your companion’s head, they’re primed to use their Battle Art and the blue link.

However, the blue link won’t stick around, so act fast when you spot it.

The chain won’t happen if the battle art’s too slow or you’re not in range when the animation’s over.

Stick to fast and dependable Battle Arts like Palm Strike for better results.

These usually have quicker animations and are less likely to throw off your companion's positioning.

When you trigger the Battle Art Chain, your companion will land the final hit to close the combo.

After that, your buddy must refill their Chain Meter to do another Battle Art Chain.
