This classic setup gives you a clean slate, letting you decide where your character goes as you explore ancient China.

Despite their memory loss, the Wanderer is an expert in martial arts, handling weapons and combat with impressive skill.

Their unexpected expertise suggests that there's way more to their story. The Wanderer gets caught up in wild conflicts and rises to fame during legendary wars.

Most of Dynasty Warriors' characters are based on historical figures, but the Wanderer is a bit of a wildcard.

Their backstory is entirely fictional, explicitly crafted for Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

This creates a wealth of possibilities for their role in the story, giving us something new compared to the usual legends like Liu Bei or Cao Cao.

Throughout the game, you’ll eventually discover the Wanderer’s real name: Ziluan.

Ziluan is part of a covert, top-tier group known as the Guardians of Peace. This faction of warriors is committed to upholding balance and order across China.

This revelation adds some backstory, helping us understand why he’s caught up in the Three Kingdoms battles.

One of the fun features of Dynasty Warriors: Origins is picking your character name.

Right after the first fight, players will run into the legendary Guan Yu for a chat.

At this point, you’re given the chance to name your character.

Across the sweeping landscapes of China, the Wanderer meets important historical figures and fights in major battles.

As the Wanderers travel, they make friends and face some heavy hitters, carving out a reputation as someone to watch in the chaos of war.

These alliances are everything, deciding who the Wanderer’s with and what’s coming next in their story.

Whether you back Liu Bei, Cao Cao, or Sun Jian, you’ll get a different experience with new characters and quests.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins flips the script by focusing on the Wanderer instead of the usual heroes like Zhao Yun.

Though Zhao Yun is no longer the main character, players can still recruit him as a companion if they align with Liu Bei’s faction.
