Elden Ring is easily one of the coolest open-world games ever made, and undoubtedly one of the all-time greats in general, too. So, if you ever see it with money off and you don't already own it, acting on that quickly is essential.

Today, you can pick up a copy of Elden Ring on PC with 34% off, meaning it's just $41.89. That's an absolute bargain for the sheer volume of hours you can get in this massive adventure. Seriously, you can easily spend up to 200 hours in a single playthrough, if you want to.

What makes Elden Ring great though? Well, you take control of a Tarnished, who's been called back to their homeland after exile to try and seek the golden light that's guiding you. Things in this land used to be good, but that's very much not the case now.

Instead, the Elden Ring, an essential godly artefact, has been shattered by one of the gods meant to protect it. There's a war going on because of this, and you reach The Lands Between in between some titanic fights between godly siblings trying to figure out what to do and duking it out whenever they disagree.

Because of this, your role is to try and reforge the Elden Ring, but there are a few options for how to actually do this. The result is an adventure that sees you fighting off everything from tempest wolves and gigantic rune bears, to a demi-god with a dragon head for an arm and a big old snake who likes to overact before reaching into its own throat for a giant sword - who wouldn't want to fight those?
