Elite Series CSGO - Grand Final Preview

Nine weeks of insane AWP flicks, incredible clutch plays and some montage-worthy frags have all led up to the Grand Finals on the Elite Series. Two teams remain in what could be an epic matchup between some immensely talented players.

Epsilon Esports

Epsilon have always been hovering around the top of the table during the regular season. Under the guidance of BarBarr, the team have looked very comfortable in the arena and are focused on becoming season one champions for Counter Strike. For me, Smooya is the player to watch on this team. His AWP shots have been exceptional at times and a soild performance from him will be imperative if Epsilon are to beat Prophecy in a best-of-five series.

Prophecy

Prophecy have been the dark horses of the Elite Series despite losing three of their games in the regular season. Consisting of a mix of players from all over Europe, the team have played some phenomenal CS in their games but at times they have looked like a team that can be easily explioted. Last time these two teams faced eachother was in week six where Epsilon were the victors. If they are to avenge their loss, the likes of Slap and Arch need to be firing on all cylinders if they are to take down Epsilon.

Predictions

Unlike their previous encounter, I think that this will be a much closer contest between the two sides. Depending on how the map vetoes play out, Prophecy can secure a Mirage or an Inferno then I think the series could go to a deciding third map. However, if Epsilon are able to gain the front foot early in the series, then a 3-0 sweep is definitely a possibility.
