Solidarity among Apex Legends players can be a bit of a rare occurrence, even in the face of issues so bad that some are contemplating going on strike and putting the game down for a spell in protest.
Luckily, if there’s one thing that can bring a herd of ornery gamers together, it’s a chance to tell someone else that they aren’t quite good enough at video games.
This is exactly what happened in a recent Reddit thread, with one player’s complaint about getting caught out by an end zone not going down too well.
Apex Players Flame Poor Stuck Fellow
Posting to begin this thread in the Apex Legends subreddit, user wisperino345 shared an image of an end zone featuring some untraversable rocks and captioning it: “why is this end zone allowed?”
The responses to this post saw a number of other players insist that the problem lay with the player rather than the map construction, with user raulcamarena65 replying: “To test players match strategies. Either you look ahead and look for position and get rewarded or you stay back looting or fighting and get screwed like that.”
Others took a similar view, with user MrPheeney saying: “why weren’t you paying attention is the real question” and jmyersjlm adding: “When you first saw the zone you are currently in appear, you should have known it wouldn't end on that side of the mountain, and you should have planned accordingly.”
Thankfully, a few users were slightly less damning in their criticism, with Cazirus saying: “That’s a ring you learn with time since after it was fixed (ring has to be at least 50% on playable area I think) that ring always pulls towards the south west.”
User Ka-mui was on hand to share a story of overcoming the odds at that particular end zone, revealing: “Personally, I like it. Won a game there that was some Mexican standoff. (You’ve) just gotta get there in time, or a bit earlier.”
A few others seemed to suggest that character choice can play a role in how likely you are to get stuck in a bad position, with Valkyrie offering a chance to escape the consequences of your bad choices.
So, jump into a match, try not to get caught out, and make sure to follow us for more updates on Apex Legends Season 13, which kicked off in May.
