Exodus cast
Getting big Hollywood actors to join the cast of a video game is becoming more common these days and Exodus looks to get in on that trend. During the 2023 Game Awards, actor Matthew McConaughey appeared on stage to confirm that he will be voicing a character in Exodus.
If you’ve seen Interstellar, you’ll know that he’s no stranger to space travel and time dilation, two things Exodus puts a lot of focus on.
Exodus story
Exodus takes place in the distant future, where humans have left a dying Earth in search of a new home. While on this mission, you will stand against a group of powerful beings known as the Celestials.
As you travel throughout the universe, you will experience the effects of Time Dilation. This means that each passing day for you is equivalent to decades going by back home.
This will allow you to witness the long-term effects of the choices you’ve made as you progress through the game.
Exodus gameplay
During the reveal at The Game Awards 2023, we got a little glimpse of gameplay for Exodus. It looks like we’re due for some third-person over-the-shoulder action and exploration.
While travelling through space and time is essential to the plot of Exodus, we have yet to see how these elements will be incorporated into its gameplay.
